My Story:

My first big leap was at the prestigious Sight Effects, a boutique studio in Los Angeles. Super Bowl spots and Nike campaigns with W&K, including the original Bugs Bunny Michael Jordan spot.

After moving to NYC, I spent fifteen years at The Mill NY. I was a lead compositor and VFX Supervisor on 120+ shoots. Eight years after joining I was promoted to co-head of 2D.

Once in the role I observed that managing a department of 40+ artists while staying on projects wasn’t serving anyone well — not the business, not the team. I could run the department more effectively if I was freed from projects to focus entirely on the people. Hiring, salary, career growth, regular one to ones. As the impact became clear, the 98.2% retention rate, the high revenue, the growing culture — the result of a simple belief that people perform better when they feel they belong.

Now part of senior management, I learned everything I could and set my sights on becoming an MD. That ambition was realized later when I was appointed Managing Director of The Mill New York.

In 2022 I joined Harbor Picture Company, part of Publicis Group, as Managing Director of Advertising. I was hired to grow the business and build a premium VFX/CG department that could deliver high level commercials. Overseeing 4 additional lines of business, Live Action, Editorial, Color and Design we grew the business 42% in 3 years, with a truly successful creative culture.

Harbor Picture Company proved the approach wasn’t company specific. A different business, a different culture, but the same belief — that a service leader who genuinely takes care of their people while staying committed to the P&L can build something that lasts. The 42% growth in three years was the confirmation.

It was becoming clear that success lies in one’s ability to get everyone facing in the same direction. Not by force, but by making them feel they belong. I applied this approach consistently, endorsed by business leaders. It achieved creative excellence and bottom-line results.

That journey — from artist to MD — is what brought me to coaching. Everything I had learned, applied and witnessed I now wanted to share. Not as a consultant telling you what to do, but as a coach helping you find your own way there.

Consistent intentional dialogue at every level isn’t a luxury — it’s the necessity that unlocks everything a business is capable of.
